So far this leave period I have:
1) Painted the wall with the cracking (poorly and I ran out of paint...but it was painted)
2) de-headed the flowers a certain someone kept reminding me
3) had a hit of golf (dropped my golf bag and broke two clubs but such is life I guess)
4) cleaned the oven (yes this was my idea)
5) Gone to find electric blankets and finally use the last of our vouchers (they didn't have any but I still did it)
6) Poisoned the weeds in the front of the garden. I think I will need more poison as they haven't all died but its a start....
7) Contacted Mutual community, its already the middle of August and no tax statement. I expect to see something soon.
8) Cleaned the inside of both cars, this was more difficult than originally anticipated but it was done.
9) Cooked a roast with the Webber. This was freaking awesome and I still have some left over lamb for lunch tomorrow. There is something unique about charcoal cooked meat (sorry to any vegan reading this but your missing out except perhaps the charcoal cooked pumpkin which was also quite nice)
10)How could I forget the ironing.... my gosh! it took my about 6 hrs to finish all the ironing that we had, I admit it was my idea, I just kept mentioning that "I'll do the ironing on my leave break" so lets be honest why do it now when you can do it later. Argh
So that doesn't seem like much for 6 days off but I have also seen people driven Diana around the city and also relaxed which is the whole point of leave in the first place. The sad thing is that I have a number of things to do before leave finishes... these things will obviously be now subject to finance.
1) Fix the leaking toilet. Being 6 billion years old I'm not sure how to do this as I've already replaced the "replaceable parts" and I refuse to get a whole new cistern.
2) fix and paint the gate/fence - once again, no idea what I'm doing here but it seems like a great idea.
3) carpet clean the house - this one, is something I want to do, but we shall see.
4) XXXX X XXX XXX - I'm currently in the process of doing this but I won't mention what it is in case the Russians are reading.
5) go fishing - that's right Sean, I don't forget.
So that's probably the longest post I'll ever write that no one will ever read. But we shall see one day I might be considered some sort of important person and these writing will be used as a guide for everyday life. In the year 3050 everyone will have nice fences and clean carpets!
