First Red wine....

Diana was keen for a glass of red early in the week. Despite my best efforts of not drinking on a Monday night, I relented.

So first up a Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon from Houghton.

Price. Approx $19

Given I'm no wine buff, I'll say that the wine was great.

Easy drinking, slightly acidic but with a fruity after taste I'd be happy to buy a few more bootles of this in the future.

Well I'll be

So in 2009 I started a blog. .. which didn't come to much.

But now I have something I need to write down. My lovely wife had asked me to "thin" out my red wine collection.

As I want to recall these wines I hope to write them down here... As un educated in wine as I am I want to remember the nice ones.

There could be some spirits in their too.

My first task is finishing off the Bundaberg Rum UP in my cupboard.

I don't think I need tasting notes for that.

Finally a challenge

Well I joined a Gym last week and have happily gone in 5 times since. The biggest problem being that I did a "health check" which included a BMI. My BMI i have been informed is 30.8 which puts me in the obese category. I have to shed a total of 23 KG's just to be within "normal weight", a figure I can't see my self attaining this lifetime.

But given I don't want to be in the "obese" category when the new channels do hip shots of all the fatties running around I'm going to try and improve my BMI to within atleast just the "overweight" category.... albeit the lower end.

So I'm going to have to hit the gym at least 4 times a week, I thought about becoming bulimic but I reclly don't enjoy spewing and anorexic is another option I can't handle because eating is a past time of mine (well thats obvious given my BMI isn't it).

So hopefully over the next 15 weeks I can get my self back into the just overweight range and from there we will see if I can ever drop 23 KGs (I doubt it)

Boo, Hiss, Wa wa

WEll it seems my commitment to blogging has wained, I'm not sure why but I think it has a lot to do with the fact that it really doesn't get me anywhere and I really don't have much to talk about.

Since my last blog I haven't done to much, I have however thought through a few things which I am going to try and incorporate in ye olde life.

before I start however I should mention that I had a great weekend, the Grand Final was superb, Seans birthday was a lot of fun and D's Poppa is looking like he is going along nicely.

So back to my plans, I did some reading and I going to look at being more aggressive in my career. Having the realisation that I will forever be living in Adelaide I need to get to a level that makes a substantial amount of money. I failed in the past because I thought it was a matter of natural attrition or I was going to be able to go elsewhere for more experience (or the like)

So moving forward its time to take some risks and get out of the comfort zone and really challenge myself. I want to be able to put myself in the position that I am the first person thought of for the big jobs and the well paid ones.

I should note that it isn't all about the money.....but it sure does help.

so hopefully I can get cracking and keep the blog going.

It is that time again.

Well its another Sunday before another Monday the repetitiveness is just plain boring. Once again it has been a long time between drinks. I never seem to have anything to say any longer. I'm still trying to decide some more goals to achieve. I should make my next goal to have a goal.

Despite being repetitive the weekend still provided some interesting events. The Crows losing in the finals again, going to AAMI stadium to watch some SANFL finals and getting ready for a bodyshop party that D hosted.

I'm hoping this wek provides some interesting changes. Once this happens i will be able to reset some goals.

1 day left

Well there is the saying that all good things must come to an end, whilst I don't agree with the statement it has some relevance with tomorrow being the final day of my 2 weeks off.

Unfortunately for me I was unable to, and unlikely to, finish a number of my task due to the weather changes in Adelaide. In all it has been a good two week and has given me the chance to get away from things and get other jobs done.

On Wednesday it will be back to work and facing all the day to day tasks that work involves. Hopefully not much has changed and I can get back in with minimal fuss.

I started doing some learning of Spanish language lessons today, thought it would be interesting, I've only done the basic stuff however. I'll see how it goes and will try to do a few lessons a week and see if I can watch a few Spanish shows.... or something like that.

Luckily there are a couple of items that I can still do whilst at work, hopefully I finish them off in the short term rather than the long term.
